How to map your cluster lashes

Achieving your perfect lash look starts with understanding your eye shape. Whether you want a natural, cat-eye, or dramatic effect, proper lash mapping ensures a flattering and seamless result.

Step 1: Identify Your Eye Shape

Your eye shape determines how lash clusters should be placed for the most flattering effect.

  • Almond Eyes – Suited for most lash styles.
  • Round Eyes – Best complemented by elongated styles like cat-eye or winged mapping.
  • Hooded Eyes – Benefit from upward-angled lashes to create a lifted effect.
  • Monolid Eyes – A mix of longer and shorter clusters adds dimension.
  • Downturned Eyes – A slight lift at the outer corners helps balance the shape.
  • Deep-Set Eyes – Lashes should focus on adding length and lift to bring the eyes forward, avoiding excessive weight on the lash line.

Step 2: Plan Your Lash Placement

Once you’ve identified your eye shape, divide your lash line into sections. Following our placement guide below, apply from the outer corner, in the way, until you reach the inner corner of your eye.

Step 3: Lash Mapping Techniques

Lash mapping varies depending on the desired look. Below are some recommended maps with suggested cluster lengths. Note that the number of clusters depends on eye/cluster width:

🌿 Natural Look (Soft, Everyday, Balanced)

Effect: Enhances natural lashes by placing the longest lash clusters at the highest point of your brow line. This helps to lift and enhance your eyes for a more flattering finish.

Best for: All eye shapes, first-time lash users

Cluster Placement:

  • 10mm – Inner corner
  • 12mm – Just before the centre
  • 14mm – Centre of the lash line
  • 14mm – Just after the centre
  • 12mm – Outer corner

🐱 Cat-Eye Look (Elongated, Sultry, Fox Eye)

Effect: Lifts and elongates the eyes for a feline, snatched look.

Best for: Almond, round, downturned eyes

Cluster Placement:

  • 10mm – Inner corner
  • 10mm – Inner third
  • 12mm – Centre of the lash line
  • 14mm – Outer third
  • 14mm – Outer corner

🪽 Winged Look (Flared, Airy, Lightweight)

Effect: A soft, fluttery lash effect, perfect for a natural eyeliner-inspired lift.

Best for: Almond, hooded, monolid, deep-set eyes

Cluster Placement:

  • 10mm – Inner corner
  • 12mm – Just before the centre
  • 12mm – Centre of the lash line
  • 14mm – Outer third
  • 14mm – Outer corner

✨ Open/Dolly Eye Look (Awakened, Lifted, Fresh)

Best for: Hooded, downturned, small, deep-set eyes

  • 12mm – Just before the centre
  • 14mm – Centre of the lash line
  • 12mm – Just after the centre
  • 10mm – Outer corner

🍃 Wispy Look (Textured, Fluttery, Soft-Spiked)

💃 Glamorous Look (Dramatic, Full, Red Carpet-Ready)

Effect: A voluminous, bold lash look with a focus on length and density.

Best for: Almond, deep-set, large eyes, bold makeup looks
